He took out his organizer, and turned it on. The holographic screen lit up before him, and the Time Institute Hourglass insignia greeted his face. He quickly looked back and forth from the girl to the device, and started to type swiftly on the interface. The holographic tabs danced around as he fingers flew furiously. This sight astounded most who looked on, but it was quite mundane to Querl himself. He ran his fingers through his hair once, as he looked back up a smile on his face. She was obviously rather irritated at having to submit to him, as such. Now, Querl didn't want to torture the "poor girl" for so long. This was uncharacteristic of someone with noble intentions. He was always happy to help out a fellow intellectual. "Well then, If you insist, shall I sign you in as Ms. Luthor, or would you prefer another moniker?" Her height and weight were an obvious giveaway that she was perhaps Alexis Luthor, and her hidden intellect would also attest to that. If so, then it must have been killing her inside to say what she did. Querl couldn't help but smirk at the thought. [/ul]

Just when she thought that the situation was playing out in her favor, the Coluan made sure to surprise her. Not that he had been able to throw her off her feet in the first place. But this, this was another level.
Alexis had to admit that her active camouflage was not ideal. It didn't do anything outside of change the color of her hair, skin complexion, her eyes and other superficial features. She had not programmed it for that after all because she had only planned to use it on less intelligent beings - like her body guards. Still, she did not think that anyone would be able to make such a spot on assessment of who lay beneath the mask. Alexis was well known, yes but her actual appearance was a myth to those who were outside of the socialite circles.
There was talk of her being much taller than the average woman in some circles. There was also mention of an illustrious but frightening beauty. Much debate was brought on about her eye color and even whether she was gaunt like her mother or a little more filled in her like father. Above all however, it was agreed that she possessed the signature flaming, red hair of the Luthor family. This was something you could not deny.
But it was also something she did not possess at the very moment in time. And for someone like the Coluan, someone who had not even interacted with the young billionaire at all (in her lifetime at least), to make such a precise observation was uncanny - and troubling.
It also meant he had no interested in bringing him under her tutelage, much less sharing with her the privy information of his newly formed element.
Anger flushed through her, but she did not allow it to show in her expression. Business politics had taught her to maintain a poker face at all times and for a good chunk of her life she was so used to hiding her emotions that this exact moment took little to no effort in achieving. She wouldn't let the Coluan win, not his round. If he wanted to keep his stupid metal to himself, he could do just that. Alexis was just as smart she could figure something like that out herself.
"Ms... Luthor?"
Her eyes feigned confusion as she began to scratch the back of her head. Coluan's couldn't read emotions in the first place, but Alexis still maintained her poker face, trading in anger and frustration with confusion and misunderstanding.
As her brows raised and she looked to Coluan were affirmation of her statement, she paused and then suddenly burst out in laughter. Odd, high pitched and somewhat eerie. That was the best she could do. It wasn't as if laughter was something she was good at. Not this kind of laughter at least.
"Oh... wait? Do you think-?"
Jolliness filled her eyes and she looked to the Coluan with both confusion and humor in her face.
"I am flattered... I'm sure every girl wishes she was as smart and rich as Alexis."
She began to fix her glasses and prim her hair, trying to appear as if she were as pretty or even as smart as the young billionaire.
"But no... you can just call be Miss Kaspin. Tabitha Kaspin."
She paused with a smile, observing his reaction and determining her next few actions based on whether the Coluan would believe her little fib or continue to build on his suspicion.

He rubbed at his chin, before typing into his device. Perhaps, it would be beneficial if, for once, he did play it a bit "naive". Indeed, maybe Ms. Luthor could genuinely prove useful in fine-tuning the flight ring, as other important matters were at hand. Either way, it was probably more beneficial to go with the illusion at this time, and Querl figured this way might at the very least get him some extra time to figure out what she might want with the prototype. "Ah, my sincerest apologies. Clearly someone such as yourself, and Ms. Luthor, are nowhere near the same league."Of course, this didn't mean he could have a little fun. He extended out his hand. "Well, I do look forward to working with you more then, Ms. Kaspin. Is there anyway I can forward my information to you so we can work out a schedule as soon as possible. Again, very sorry for my mistake. I must be out of it today, with my technology working and all."Querl displayed no signs of sarcasm, or disbelief, maintaing the same neutral state he had been keeping up with her for the majority of the conversation. If she was on to him in anyway, it would more than likely, be due to paranoia. [/ul]
