Where the Wild Things Are [Projectra]

Post by Princess Projectra on Jan 8, 2013 11:43:12 GMT -5
The progression of their journey started up again and Projectra was both relieved and annoyed to be setting afoot again. Relived because they were moving forward but annoyed because of the treacherous and unforgivable landscape that she was expected to wander through. Orandan had its fair share of rugged terrains and jungles and yes Projectra had traveled through it. But for gripe’s sake, she always had servants and foot soldiers to clear her path and take care of anything that got in her way. That and she also had a stead to carry her across the landscape so this walking business was never an issue.
Still, even though she was a princess on Orandan, she was not fully one here. Especially not in the jungle of Rawls where barely anything with a sentient life force was present. She wrinkled her nose at an odd smell that lingered around them and jumped slightly at the sound of a branch cracking. Bumping into Brin, it was only then that she had realized that the young beast man was actually in the nude. Flabbergasted and a bit embarrassed by the realization, Projectra immediately stopped with a quick stamp to the ground.
“Stop, stop!” She shrieked, causing some birds in a nearby tree to fly off squawking. Projectra looked away, as she pulled off her purple cape and with her glance off to the side presented it to Brin. It was a moderately kind gesture, even from the Princess herself, but she knew that she would not be able to cooperate with this young man if he ran about nude in front of her. Without saying a word she waited expectantly for him to take it and when he did she haughtily walked past him to forcibly continue their way to the laboratory.
As they approached the structure, she could feel the atmosphere in the air change and that feeing of unease lingered over them. Looking to Brin from the foliage that had chose to hide them behind, Projectra studied the structure and concluded that the only way to get in was through the front door. It was no matter, she would give this doctor the beating of his life for attempting to kill her and for being a royal pain in her butt. Leaning against the tree and feeling the rough bark against her back, she looked to Brin whose beast like face showed concern, worry, anxiety but determination. She scoffed slightly, she would do this with or without him.
Tugging at a holster on her hip, she brandished the standard science police laser propulsion hand gun. She grit her teeth, arming the weapon and charging it up for usage. Normally Projectra was not one to resort to such drastic measures but Doctor Londo had already pulled the gun out on her once, she wouldn’t let him do it again.
Looking to Brin she nodded in a silent agreement that it was go time. Without hesitating, she pushed off the tree and with surprising swiftness cut through the open space between the foliage and the science facility and made way straight for the front door.

Pausing at Projectra's sudden scream of protest, Brin's expression changed to one of worried annoyance like he was about to tell her to quieten down, they were close enough for that kind of noise to possibly attract attention. Suddenly he found soft high-quality material draped over his shoulders and running down his back, his fingers moving to quickly do up the clasp then half-turned to nod at her even as she strode past him, changing what he was about to say.
"Thank you"
A familiar human scent suddenly made him spin around with a loud growl as his ears went completely flat and his face contorted into a full snarl, feral anger replacing logic before he roared and dashed off...
Skidding to a halt in front of the main gates of Londo's compound, Brin brought up both his fists and began hammering at the metal with all his strength in the hopes of creating a large enough dent so he could be able to pry them apart.
Panting slightly after a few seconds of getting nowhere, his eyes narrowed and he backed off then tore forward at top speed to clear the walls. A moment later the gates slid open, allowing Projectra entry.
The young man was starting to move warily towards the buildings. This was still dangerous territory as far as he was concerned, memories of the past two years surfacing.
Pausing in the doorway leading into the main building, the feral boy sniffed the air so he could locate what part his father was in right now before jumping back slightly, an energy snare barely missing him before he was on the small hovering robot with a snarl and tore it to pieces with his bare claws.
Glancing over his shoulder once done, Brin stepped forward, ears twitching alertly. By going in first he drew any attention to him, his way of repaying the debt to the young woman. Knowing his father, the older man's focus would be more on him than Projectra and possibly buying her enough time to escape if it came down to it...

Brin was quick to take lead of the situation and Projectra was content with following after him. The flickering lights that hovered over them offered light and as they stepped over the threshold of the automatic double doors they were automatically met with basketball sized orbital robots that attacked them with energy beams. Immediately, the scared girl in the jungle disappeared and Projectra rolled across the floor and landed in a three point crouch position her right hand extended forward and firing at the first moving object she saw.
From her peripheral she could see Brin launching himself into the air and savagely tearing his way through the Londo’s robots. The princess grit her teeth, searching the entry way for any sign of the good doctor. As expected, he was nowhere to be found and the platinum princess confirmed that they would have to delve deeper into his sanction. Enter the beast’s lair if you will.
“Brin!” her voice was barely audible through the gnashing and grinding of metal. For a moment when he did not acknowledge his name she thought she had lost him again.
But all was definitely not lost.
“Brin Ignore the robots, I’ll take care of them!”
And on her command, the an apparition of Brin and Projectra began to disjoin itself from their bodies and ran into an opposite direction from their position. Although she was sure the robots would catch onto her illusion in no time, she knew that it was better to evade them for now. For all they knew Doctor Londo was preparing something or worse: he was getting away.
Using the diversion to their advantage, Projectra motioned to Brin to keep moving and the pair ran deeper into the mad scientist’s lair. As they ran, a small robot appeared beside them and on the screen Doctor Londo’s long face appeared. His yellow glasses reflected with a green light and before Projectra could fire a beam of energy at the robot, the doctor began to speak.
“Just what are you trying to accomplish child?”
His stern expression suddenly changed when he realized that Brin was running right beside the Princess.
“Ah, I see we’ve come to terms.”
His snide smile made Projectra sick and she was surprised by the amount of self control she had in not shooting the gripe out of this projection here and now.
“Doctor Londo.” She began, following Brin as fast as she could through the facility as he sniffed out the Doctor. Occasionally a robot hoard would appear but she quickly diverted their attention with a cast of her illusions. They experienced sharp turns and abrupt stops as the bestial side of Brin failed to pick up the Doctor’s scent.
“By order of the United Planets, I am placing you under arrest for first degree murder, attempt homicide, child abuse and neglect and for being a complete NASS!!!”
As the final syllable left her mouth she opened fire on the robot and watched as it burst into pieces and clattered to the floor.
“Brin, where is he?!” The princess asked, flustered and swiftly brushing her loose hair back as they continued their trek down the facility.

Ears twitching as his companion called his name, Brin nodded, dropping onto all fours and glanced back at the princess then moved forward a little, sniffing the air to pinpoint exactly who they were hunting had been recently. Stepping away from the mangled robots to continue leading the way even as Projectra distracted the others with her abilities, letting the rest of the robots chase illusions of the teenagers so they could keep going, the boy glanced over his shoulder.
"The main laboratory is this way"
Brin paused, breaking off in mid-run and rose onto two legs, his face contorting in a full snarl at the holo-screen. The caution was fully pushed aside by the growing sense of rage and betrayal he had been feeling since stepping foot in this place again. He was tempted to smash the robot projecting his father's face into pieces but in the end, just found himself pushing past it.
Arriving at the room he knew his father did most of his research Brin's gaze was drawn towards a room that looked like a large cell just outside the area only the cell-door was now lying against the opposite wall. There were two large dents in it as if it had been struck with incredible force from something inside the room. He fought not to growl, remembering the downgrade in sleeping quarters.
Snapping out of his thoughts, the boy turned his head and stepped inside the main room to find it empty. His ears flattened completely against his head as he slowly took everything in.
Narrowing his eyes as he took a deep shuddering breath, recalling everything that had occured in here and his shoulders shook. He wasn't about to live through that ever ever again, a fate he wasn't about to let anyone else experience either and what he was going to do may drag his father out of whatever hole he was hiding in.
A few seconds later, Brin had ripped the medical table from the floor and thrown it at the computer system, the whole thing erupting into a small explosion that pushed the boy out of the door and into the wall opposite...

Of course he would hole himself up in the main science room of this facility. Londo was a genius after all and if his goals were to take out or apprehend the two then his biggest guns could be found in his most valuable room. While this made their cat and mouse game easier, it also meant that the two would have to be on top of their guard. Londo was no longer in his rational state of mind, she had seen what he did to Rundarr and without so much as a bat of his eyes. At this point he had his experiment right where he wanted him, Projectra was disposable now. It was at this point she decided that Londo’s life negligible and based on the circumstances and what had transpired the counsel at the United Planets would understand the need to end Londo’s existence.
It was life or death after all and Projectra knew she would much rather prefer the former. She was sure her father would feel the same way and if got word of her decease by some mad scientist, well Orando would not be happy.
She nodded to Brin in acknowledgement of the Doctor’s location and quickly adjusted the settings on her firearm. Now it was set to completely obliterate when absolutely necessary, the Princess was no longer playing around. Sprinting after the half man, half beast, Projectra maintained a good pace that kept up with his amazing speed. It was at that moment she took notice of his canine like body and movements and just how amazing of a specimen he was for a self-made hybridized species.
But even with all his potential and worth, Projectra could not understand why a father would be driven to experiment on his own son. She had only known the love and compassion of a father as her own had reared her since she was a child and had always ensured that only the best was given to her. Never had he laid a hand on her and the only time she experienced his anger was when she had committed something punishable – but even then his love overrode his rage and he would always sweep her up into his arms and forgive her for her wrong doing. She was only a child after all – his child.
Snapping out of her conscious thoughts, she returned to the situation at hand with the pair coming to slow jog as she entered the main laboratory that was unfavorably quiet. There was only the hum of the electronic equipment and the slight drip of chemicals as they transferred from beaker to beaker. Around them the dull lights of the laboratory hung over them producing an ominous glow. She looked to Brin, a quizzical expression on her face as she began to question the creature’s tracking ability. But maybe this was all a ploy, the doctor’s doing in distracting Brin and sending them off running in circles. She grimaced slightly and maintained the raised positioning of her firearm; she wouldn’t let Doctor Londo think for a moment he had her off guard.
“I don’t think he is here.”
Projectra muttered as she cocked her head slightly to glance over at Brin. It was as if his feet were light as air, because the way he moved across the floor with such swift and smooth movement caught Projectra off her guard. He darted straight for the medical table that lay as the centerpiece of the room and she watched as the muscles in his upper arm rippled and his fingers gripped the sides of the table. His muscles tightened and with a grunt he tore the bolted apparatus of the ground and flung it into a nearby wall of computers.
Her eyes widened as she calculated the impact of the two objects and immediately she reached out for Brin.
“Brin! We have to-“
But before she could finish, the table made contact with main computer’s power core and a resulting explosion sent them flying back and through the doorway. Projectra braced herself, ignoring the ringing in her ears and the hot sear of pain that covered her face from the heat of the blast. Within seconds, she felt the wall collide with her back, air escaped from her lips as she sighed and slumped down onto the ground, momentarily out for the count. Besides her she could hear no movement as Brin lay slightly covered by rumble and with her senses still disjointed she could barely make out the silhouette of Doctor Londo as he hovered over their listless bodies.

Half-buried in the rubble that had been blasted out of the room, the feral teenager stirred as an unwelcome scent drifted over and his nostrils flared before he took a quick sharp breath, his eyes half-opening to travel to the feet of a grey-haired man silently watching him from the laboratory's doorway. The older man didn't say a word as he stepped back as if to get something and the scents of machinery and chemicals drifted out of the room.
After a few seconds, Brin felt one hand starting to come up, the clawed fingers hovering in front of his face, a permanent reminder of his father's desire to create a living weapon no matter the cost as more memories bubbled to the surface.
A younger version of Brin getting up from a bed that consisted of little more than a mattress on the floor and a blanket then eying the forcefield over the door before moving to sit and pick at the tray of food that had been placed in the middle of the room.
Screaming in confused panic, for someone to help as a fine layer of grey, looking almost like fur, had appeared all over his body.
Being dragged from his 'room' by a couple of robots, his body limp but still breathing like he was heavily sedated.
A voice echoing through his mind "Yes, it's perfect"
He could feel his heart starting to beat irregularly and pursued his lips together - to keep his breathing coming out in short fast gasps. Quickly turning his head away as a feeling of dread started to kick in. The teenager felt his mouth and throat had become dry with fear and he silently swallowed his saliva to keep them moist.
His gaze landed on the young woman lying next to him as his ears went completely flat against the sides of his head. The man may be family but could he truly ever be forgiven for that, what he had done? When it boiled down to it, how did he know his father wouldn't end up using either of the two teenagers for whatever purpose the older scientist wanted in the end? She had saved him, now it was time to repay the favour...
A brief look of anger flashed across his face yet he remained silent as his ears twitched and watched his father step back into view. A few seconds later something clicked in Brin's mind then the boy erupted from under the rubble and ploughed right into the older man with a loud snarl and sent both of them flying backwards. Using the momentum to shove both of them backwards hard, slamming the scientist against the metal floor and knocking the wind out of him.
As Doctor Londo hit the floor, his yellow glasses flew off his face and he grunted in pain before the boy yanked him back to his feet and Brin narrowed his eyes then raised a hand, his claws flashing. Starting to bring his clawed fingers down, the young man paused, shaking his head a little as his fingers curled into his palm then he delivered a quick hard punch to the side of his father's head, causing his head to turn to one side sharply and rendering the doctor unconscious. Lowering him to the floor before releasing his top, the feral boy turned to check on Projectra.

This sort of awesome adventuring was surely not on her father’s to-do list when he whisked his only daughter off the Earth and under the guidance of the United Planets. She was supposed to be a student, an avid learner of the new technology the universe had to offer, a recipient of the various cultures and species that lived in harmony under the United Planets and most importantly she was to learn how to be a better leader for the people of her planet Orando. The jungles of Rawl were probably the last place King Voxx would expect his daughter to be. Let alone in her current situation, if word had ever reached of the circumstances that Projectra was placed into, well let’s just say that the United Planets might lose the allegiance of Orando or at least would have to deal with a harbored and deep contempt.
To call this an adventure was perhaps improper terminology however. This was a mission and her life was on the line. Without the proper communication channels available to her and her distance from the ship she couldn’t reach the United Planets for help and even then, how long would it take for the Science Police to even arrive? They could be dead by the time help came.
She groaned, moving slightly as the air came back to her lungs and the shock from the blast had worn off. Her body was trembling as she shifted in place and felt the rubble slide off her body. Her face still stung from the heat of the blast, probably burned – but hopefully not so much that the technology back on Earth could no fix the damage. Her eyes opened very slowly and for a moment she could see nothing. Dust had collected over her eyes and glazed it over a touch. Tears were streaming down from their ducts to help clear the debris and was also a mixture of the excruciating pain she felt upon her face at what she suspected was somewhere between first and second degree wounds.
When her vision finally cleared up somewhat, she could see the outline of Brin standing over her. She mouthed something that was incomprehensible and raised her lithe hand up in an effort to shield her eye and to reach out for him. When he took a hold of her hand, she felt his strong grip raise her off the ground. When she was brought to her feet she stumbled slightly, her knees buckling from the weight but Brin did not let her go.
Groaning, she gripped the side of her head, the ringing in her ears subsiding. Sounds filtered back into them and she sighed in relief knowing that she did not lose her hearing from the blast. Gripping onto Brin she turned to look for Londo and to her horror she saw that he was rising off the ground, somewhat shaking but raising a pistol in their general direction. His aim was definitely not to kill, but judging by his poor equilibrium it was a possibility. As she watched his trigger finger pull, she immediately used the momentum of her own uneasiness and weight and violently pushed Brin to the ground.
At the same time she un-holstered her secondary firearm and pulled the trigger.
“Aaah!”
Her cry filled the air and she stumbled back as the directed energy source clipped her shoulder. There was a minor laceration forming, but nothing life threatening. Projectra’s own bullet had gotten Doctor Londo in the side, also a non-life threatening wound but enough for him to realize that he was on the losing end of this battle. He fired another shot over Brin’s head and immediately turned on his heel and began to run down the hallway with a limp. He slammed his hand along the side of the wall, activating a switching and sending a large sliding door to close up the hallway, effectively intending to block Projectra and Brin from following after him.
Gritting her teeth, Projectra breathed in and down heavily trying to ignore the pain and watching as Brin struggled to make a decision based on the current situation.
As she tried to rise, the hallway suddenly began to flash with red lights.
Self-destruct sequence has been activated. T-minus 5 minutes and counting.
She froze as the female robotic voice echoed throughout the structure and realized that Doctor Londo was going to bury all this evidence with them included. Projectra shuddered, and looked down the opposing corridor, their only way out.
“Brin!”
She coughed, turning on her heel and while holding her shoulder began to run in the other direction.
“We have to get back to my ship.”
There was a look on his face as if there was uncertainty and hesitation.
“I’m sorry Brin, we can’t get him. Not here. Not today. I have to get Rundarr’s body and return it to the United Planets.”
She knew that chasing Doctor Londo now would be futile, the man was probably already onboard a vessel and preparing to launch into space. They would have to move as well if they wanted to be as lucky. Still Brin seemed hesitant, she knew that he would be fast enough to reach his father, but she couldn’t ensure that he would survive.
“Brin, if we bring Rundarr back and if I bring you back… I can tell the United Planets what occurred here today. They will heed to my report… and I promise… we will make sure that monster is put to justice.”
She was not struggling to move as much anymore now as adrenaline was kicking in and dulling her senses.
“… But we have to go now.”
T-minus 4 minutes and 30 seconds

Snarling as his father sealed off part of the hallway to make his escape and triggered the facility's self-destruct, Brin nodded grimly at the princess's words. As much as he wanted to see the older scientist brought to justice, it wasn't worth dying for. He just hoped his father's timewould come.
"You get this Rundarr and I'll meet you at your ship" the wolf-boy nodded then dropped into all fours and took off at top speed, arriving at his private quarters a few seconds later then yanked the luggage containers from where they lay on the floor of his closet.
Collecting and packing all of his datapad library and art-supplies like his life depended on it. Placing a few keepsafes and the holo-cubes that held family photos then sealed the bag. Once the desk and bookshelf were empty, clothes were treated more unceremoniously, ripped from hangers and out of drawers then slung into the second bag before he pressed them all down and zipped it shut.
Pausing and glancing at the box lying on his bed, Brin frowned as he slung a bag over each shoulder then grabbed it. He wasn't sure what it held but he could look inside once back on Projectra's ship and tore out of the room. Not stopping until he was outside, the young man dashed out of the building to leap over the wall and continued going, following Projectra's scent to locate her ship even as the chain reaction began and parts of the compound began to go up in flames.

Projectra was concerned, worried that Brin would not be as receptive to her option as logical as it may be. There was after all still a beast within him, one that wanted nothing more than to bring upon his father the pain and suffering that he was subject to. But she also knew that there was also a boy in there, no different in terms of spirit and virtue than her that valued his life over simple revenge. There was more to that after all and she hoped he could not only remember that, but be much better than that.
She stood before him with bated breath and ready to go her own way once his decision was made. It would be a shame to have to part ways so prematurely - not that she was interested in pursuing further acquaintance, but merely because she believe that he could be assimilated back into society and into a normal lifestyle. Orando had existed in isolation and in comparison to the rest of the universe was somewhat barbaric. But that's why she was here, with the United Planets, this was her father's way of modernizing Orando and reforming if for the fast changing universe.
Brin could do the same.
Finally, Brin's eyes softened and she watched as his ears flattened against his head and he nodded in agreement and understanding. Proving even further that he was more than capable of rational thought despite his appearance. She breathed a sigh of relief happy to know that he too would be leaving this forsaken planet.
Uplifted feelings left fast however as Brin instructed her to take care of Rundarr and that he would meet her at the ship. She opened her mouth to protest but he was already bounding off down another corridor leaving her to watch in disbelief at both his speed and decision making. Was he really going to come back to the ship, were those really his intentions? Or was he lying in order to obtain what he wanted.
There was nothing she could do now, gripping her shoulder she turned and made way back to the main lobby where both her and Rundarr had their first confrontation with Doctor Londo. She grit her teeth, seeing Rundarr's ghastly face look up with her, how could she even begin to explain the events that occurred on this damn planet? Breathing in, she knelt down and with trembling but gentle hands she laid Rundarr to rest and slowly closed his eyes.
"Be with peace Rundarr."
Her words were barely audible and before she could let anything else get to her, she quickly grabbed his arm and heaved his body over her shoulder. Well, tried to. Rundarr was no small being, his seven foot stature and the added weight of his dead body made it difficult to even drag him across the floor.
T-minus 2 minutes and 15 seconds
A small whine escaped from her as the impeding clock beat down upon her. She looked around frantically looking for some sort of apparatus to help her. Her eyes scanned the area three times, then she saw it a small utility cart. Moving quickly, she ran to it and brought it back to Rundarr's body. Ignoring her ignored shoulder and with a few grunts and groans she pulled his body onto the cart and activated it. It hummed to life and then rose into the air, easily lifting Rundarr's body off the ground. Clapping her hands in excitement, Projectra quickly took hold of the handle and without much effort pushed the cart down the hallway and out of the facility.
The jungle's humid air was surprisingly a welcoming embrace as she stepped outside of the facility. Moving quickly, she made way for the foliage, mapping out the route to the ship in her head. Before she disappeared into the forest she paused and looked back to Doctor Londo's facility in hopes of seeing Brin. When there was no sign of him, she sighed and turned back to the dense trees. There was a hum in the distance and she turned her head to see what she assumed was Doctor Londo's vessel ascending into the skies. Scoffing, Projectra finally pushed into the jungle and made way for the ship.
It took several moments, more time that she would have liked but with the terrain and her luggage it was understandable. The ship's access card was within Rundarr's regal cloak, something Projectra was not too happy about rummaging through but still did. Once she opened the ship and was inside, she quickly set Rundarr's body onto a medical bed and secured him. She gave him one final look before she ordered the ship's computer to contain and deceased body and in moments Rundarr's body was bound by white cloth and placed within a specialized chamber that would halt his decomposition.
In the distance she heard the explosion of the science facility and she sighed, her eyes gazing toward the ship's open hangar where she hoped to see Brin.
When she did not, she jogged to the ship's main deck and took place in the pilot's seat. It was odd being at the helm and she was thankful for her pilot training. She was also immensely thankful for autopilot because Projectra was unsure if she was in the appropriate physical and mental state to pilot a space craft through these regions. Bringing the ship to life and preparing it for take off, Projectra let out another sign and turned to look back to the open hangar.
Projectra would have to leave with or without Brin and right now he wasn't giving her much of an option.
"Come on Brin."
Again she held her breath as she patiently waited for the appearance of the young man.

Barely glancing back as the sounds of the compound exploding came from behind him and the ship loomed out of the jungle ahead of him, the young man picked up a bit of speed as he could see the princess already sitting at the main console at the far end through the open doors. Hurrying onto the vessel then turning to close the hangar doors after he had boarded and securing his bags in a cargo locker, Brin headed straight for the bridge and took a seat at one of the co-pilot's chairs.
Resting the box on his lap, the young man made sure he was strapped in properly and nodded at Projectra, just wanting to get off this planet and try putting that part of his life behind him "Ready when you are"
Leaning back in his seat while awaiting take-off, Brin turned his attention to what was in his lap and slowly opened it. Pulling out an long-sleeved orange costume with dark grey almost Y-shaped sections running down the center of the front and back while a pair of yellow animal eyes were positioned right in the area below the neck. A pair of cloth-like brown boots designed to accommodate his clawed feet and brown gloves that end at the elbows lay underneath the main outfit.
Frowning thoughtfully, he inhaled to take in the scent of the costume and nodded, there were no odd out-of-place scents like chemicals and the tiny traces of metal that would mean nanites on it then he shoved the outfit back into the box and slid the lid back on. Once they had well and truly left Rawl behind and were heading to who knows which planet, he would try it out as the princess may want her cloak back.

The soft patter of footsteps made her jump a little and almost brought back her survival instinct. But when she saw that it was just Brin coming in through the open doorway she shed a sigh of relief - one he wouldn't see and watched as he closed the doorway. It was as if he was closing a chapter in his life and preparing to begin anew. She smiled slightly, but brought herself back to the situation at hand. Since when had she become so poetic?
Now that Brin was onboard and the Doctor's facility was blasting into pieces in the distance there was nothing left for them on Rawl. Projectra had a responsibility now and had to act upon Rundarr's death and hopefully act on the savagery that Brin had been through. Though she didn't think her father nor the United Planets would approve of such initiative. They had a police force for that after all - what could children do in the grand scheme of things?
Sighing, she nodded to Brin and began to set the ship into motion. The engines were already fired up and ready to go and with a push of the throttle levers they were beginning their ascension into the skies. The jungle seemed to reach out below them as if beckoning them to stay and in the midst there was the great flash of fire that was formerly Brin's home and nightmare. From the corner of her eye she caught him opening a box, but choose not to pry any further. Memorabilia perhaps, it was none of her business really.
Focusing instead on achieving the right speed to break Rawl's atmosphere, Projectra felt her brow twitch in concentration as she essentially piloted a spacecraft for the first time.
The medium sized vessel began to rock and shake from turbulence but so far there were no indications of trouble. The readings on board all appeared normal and before they knew it they had broken through Rawl's atmosphere and were floating in the dark abyss that was space. Projectra set coordinates for the Planet Earth, her temporary home and maybe Brin's new one.
"I think everything will be alright now."
Projectra commented, turning her blue eyes toward Brin with a slight smile. Not sure what she meant by that, she set the spacecraft into full drive and in seconds they were streamlining through space, unaware that the circumstances that were experienced today would bind them for a lifetime.
